This website and our content management system are operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS EMEA SARL, Luxembourg) in the Frankfurt (EU) region (AWS Amplify, Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Lightsail, Amazon S3). When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested page, browser identifier) in server logs to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with AWS. AWS is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses apply in addition.
We accept table reservations via the gastro.site service (Gastro.site, owner Johannes Klaushofer, Rupertigasse 17, 5301 Eugendorf, Austria). The reservation window is only loaded when you click "Reserve a table" or open the "/reservieren" page — no data is transferred to gastro.site before that. When the window loads, gastro.site necessarily receives your IP address.
For the reservation, gastro.site processes the data you enter (first and last name, email address, phone number, number of guests, date, time, special requests) in order to carry out your reservation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The privacy notice of gastro.site, linked in the reservation window, applies in addition. You can always reserve by phone instead.
When you use our contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, message) to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for general enquiries Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The request is stored in our content management system (AWS, Frankfurt region) and sent to us by email. For sending emails we use SendGrid (Twilio Inc., USA) as a processor; Twilio is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Stored requests are deleted automatically after 6 months.
If you have allowed marketing cookies and came to our website via a Google Ads advertisement, we store the Google click ID (gclid) with your request in order to measure the success of our ads (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without marketing consent, no click ID is stored.
We only use analytics and marketing services with your explicit consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). Without consent, Google Tag Manager is not loaded and no requests are made to Google (Google Consent Mode v2, default "denied"). Your consent is valid for 12 months; you can change or withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. When you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics cookies in your browser.
With your analytics consent, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin). Google Analytics records usage data (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, device information, truncated IP address) and analyses it for us in pseudonymised form. A transfer to Google LLC (USA) is possible; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The data is deleted in Google Analytics after 2 months.

On some pages we embed a map from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). The map is only loaded once you click “Load interactive map”. When the map loads, your IP address is transferred to the OpenStreetMap Foundation; an adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists for the United Kingdom. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing easy-to-find directions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The "Plan route" link only opens Google Maps when you click it.
The fonts used are served from our own server. No connections are made to Google Fonts or other font providers.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact us using the details above. You can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
